Company launches partner program with three charter value-added resellers; Pinebreeze Technologies, Enterprise Control Systems and Daxten

AUSTIN, TX, March 13, 2012 – 512-364-0270

Tenduit Software, an Austin-based infrastructure management software company, today announced its channel partner program designed for Infrastructure Value-Added Resellers (VARs). As a cornerstone of Tenduit’s strategy, the company is building a network of high-impact value-added reseller partners who share the company’s goal of solving critical IT infrastructure management challenges with simple, fast and affordable solutions for the datacenter.

Tenduit’s reseller program offers key components attractive to VARS, including:

Attractive discounts and incentives for the resale of RIMCenter, Tenduit’s recently introduced infrastructure management and power control software.

Exciting new-product introduction incentives, offsetting the minimal start-up costs a reseller typically incurs when introducing new solutions.

Sales, marketing and technical support – including collaborative web-based and event-driven demand generation.

Geographic market focus with global deployment capability.

“Resellers of legacy remote server management products, such as KVM/IP and intelligent PDU appliances, have told us that customers continue to recognize the value of remote access and control but are resistant to the cost and complexity of hardware based products,” said Dave Perry, CEO of Tenduit. “RIMCenter’s software-only approach offers resellers a competitive solution that substantially lowers cost and eliminates the complexity of hardware appliances. RIMCenter allows resellers an opportunity to meet customer needs and regain sales volumes in a market they understand very well.”

Kevin Baldwin, CEO of Enterprise Control Systems, considers RIMCenter to be a logical evolution in server management, “Infrastructure managers have been using traditional hardware appliances for a long time. Recent changes in the way data centers are being designed and implemented, however, favor standardized server configurations and lightweight management solutions. RIMCenter is an idea whose time has come.” Kevin further commented, “Looking ahead, Tenduit’s focus on the physical device layer promises future access and control benefits to other elements of the data center, including storage and networking equipment.”

In conjunction with the channel program release, Tenduit announced three charter reseller relationships. Joining the Tenduit program are Pinebreeze Technologies (Dallas, TX), Enterprise Control Systems (Seattle, WA) and Daxten (Europe.)

Chad Rislov, CEO of DAXTEN, commented on the new reseller relationship, “Thanks to our partnership with Tenduit, we can expand our product portfolio with a major evolution in server management. As a software-only solution, RIMCenter represents a powerful alternative to existing hardware based KVM and vendor specific onboard systems. RIMCenter surpasses conventional remote access solutions; offering access to BIOS process, true power management features such as shutdown and power recycling, integrated console and excellent price/performance ratio. Tenduit’s software solution is energy and resource efficient, merging the management of servers, power and service processors into a single system – without installing a single cable, hardware component or occupying valuable rack space in the datacenter.”

Al Nichols, CEO of Pinebreeze Technologies, commented on becoming a charter Tenduit reseller, “We have been assisting our customers with infrastructure needs for many years and KVM and iPDU appliances are often used for remote access and power control. Tenduit’s RIMCenter offers our customers a very cost effective alternative. With so much of the environment being virtualized today Tenduit’s concept of virtualizing a part of the infrastructure management stack makes a lot of sense. We expect many of our customers to welcome the opportunity to upgrade and consolidate their datacenters without having to purchase or install a single piece of new KVM or iPDU hardware.”

Tenduit is currently inviting interested value-added resellers worldwide to participate in the program. Details can be obtained by registering on the company’s website www.tenduit.com or via email at partner@tenduit.com.

Fast-moving company focused on evolving IT infrastructure management with heterogeneous “Out-Of-Band” power control and virtual console software.

AUSTIN, TX, March 6, 2012 – 512-364-0270

Tenduit will feature the company’s first infrastructure management solution, RIMCenter, at AFCOM’s popular Data Center World conference March 19-22, 2012 at the Las Vegas Mirage event center. RIMCenter “virtualizes” Remote Infrastructure Management eliminating the need for KVM/IP and iPDU hardware and is a major step forward in bringing remote server management technology up to date with current data center trends, including virtualization, modular computing and cloud computing.

Dave Perry, CEO of Tenduit commented on the company’s decision to participate in Data Center World, “Increasingly, Global 5000 companies are taking advantage of cloud, virtualization and co-location services to scale-up and leverage their IT investments. This makes sense but ultimately, all of these technologies rely on a physical layer of IT resources that must be managed efficiently.”

Perry further commented, “Until recently secure, remote access and control of data center infrastructure has been dependent on a variety of devices (e.g. KVM and iPDUs) that consume space and power, generate heat and require cabling for deployment. Tenduit has removed these burdens and costs by delivering “out of band” management through our easy-to-use software. We are extremely encouraged by the interest RIMCenter has generated since its announcement and believe the attendees of Data Center World will very interested in this important evolution in server management.”

RIMCenter is the first in a series of software solutions for the management of physical data center infrastructure. Company representatives and selected resellers will be available to discuss RIMCenter features and the company’s future plans for expanded infrastructure offerings. The company is also interested in discussing reseller and OEM relationships as the company expands US and International distribution capabilities.

Visit Tenduit at booth 1014 for a preview of RIMCenter and register for a free iPad drawing.

RIMCenter pricing begins at $149 per server. A free trial version of RIMCenter is available without obligation and can be requested from the company’s website, www.tenduit.com.

Unique Remote Infrastructure Management software provides “Out-Of-Band” Power Control and Virtual KVM, obsoleting legacy KVM/IP and iPDU hardware.

AUSTIN, TX, February 21, 2012 – 512-364-0270

Tenduit Software, an Austin based infrastructure management company, today announced the release of RIMCenter, a software-only physical infrastructure management alternative to KVM and iPDU hardware. RIMCenter increases server uptime by enabling system administrators to securely access, manage, and control power, to physical servers anywhere, anytime.

Uptime of IT resources is a critical measure, whether in a data center or remote office situation. Physical devices such as servers, storage and networking are the foundation of any data center and can significantly impact service level agreements. Secure access and management of this physical infrastructure, including power control is a critical part of maintaining data center availability. Historically, infrastructure managers have deployed KVM and iPDU appliances, from companies such as Emerson/Avocent and Raritan, to access physical devices even when the operating environment is unavailable. However, the cost and complexity of those hardware alternatives has forced many IT organizations to leave many servers unprotected to meet budget pressures. RIMCenter leverages the embedded service processor technology integrated into virtually all modern servers, eliminating the need to deploy expensive KVM and iPDU hardware appliances and offering a heterogeneous alternative to vendor-specific tools such as HP iLo Advanced, Dell DRAC, and IBM RSA.

“Until now getting ‘out-of-band’ access to a server’s console, BIOS or power control required the use of external appliances. RIMCenter requires absolutely no new hardware, which is a huge advantage over legacy products,” said Dave Perry, CEO of Tenduit. “By eliminating hardware, RIMCenter allows infrastructure managers to reduce costs by over 60% while lowering power, cooling, cabling and rack space requirements. Since a majority of server problems can be fixed by remote power cycling, RIMCenter is a very cost effective method for increasing uptime. We offer a single cross-vendor solution for heterogeneous server environments, whether they are in data center or remote server environments.”

Mike Hancock, Systems Manager for Energen Corporation, an Alabama based energy company and a participant in Tenduit’s “Early Adopter” program, said “RIMCenter is the most exciting infrastructure management solution I’ve seen in quite awhile. It is easy to install, configure and use – nowhere near as involved as standard KVM and other out-of-band management devices. RIMCenter provides us critical functionality at a much lower cost.”

In addition to secure access and power control of physical servers, RIMCenter delivers a variety of additional capabilities valued by system administrators including: integrated softKVM and RDP consoles, BIOS/boot process management and adherence to corporate access security policies. This release of RIMCenter supports servers running Microsoft Windows Server 2003R2 or newer and integrates with Microsoft’s Active Directory.

According to Ben Grimes, President BRG Strategy Group, “Today, virtualization and cloud computing garner a lot of attention but the health of physical devices in a data center is often overlooked, except for data center operations staff who are acutely aware of the criticality of keeping the infrastructure operating. Tenduit’s RIMCenter is the right tool at the right time and will be very disruptive to the current rack-based hardware businesses.” Mr. Grimes went on to say, “The way Tenduit has leveraged the embedded server Baseboard Management Controller is very creative and will be welcome news to the many datacenters that have been ‘locked-in’ to an expensive remote management system.”

RIMCenter pricing begins at $149 per server. A free trial version of RIMCenter is available without obligation and can be downloaded from the company’s website, www.tenduit.com.

Industry Veteran Brings More Than Thirty Years Leadership Experience to New Company

Tenduit, the first company to develop a software-only, vendor-agnostic remote server management solution, announced that today Dave Perry has joined the company as chief executive officer.

Dave Perry brings more than thirty years of high-tech leadership experience in developing and executing business strategies, R&D, acquisitions and sales & marketing. Prior to joining Tenduit, he served as executive vice president at Zebra Imaging, the leading provider of 3D holographic displays and visualization technologies. He also served for 10 years in various leadership roles with Avocent Corporation (now Emerson Network Power) most recently as executive vice president and general manager of the management systems division, a $500M business focused on physical infrastructure management within data centers, development labs, and branch offices. Prior to Avocent, he served as VP of Commercial Sales for Texas Instruments/Acer is a veteran of the US Air Force. Dave is a graduate of the Harvard Business School advanced management program (AMP), holds an MBA from Hardin-Simmons University, and a B.S. from Texas State University.

“The basic problem facing system administrators is how to simultaneously maintain systems availability, meet SLA’s, and stay within budget constraints. When servers stop running the race is ON and restoring service is a must – even when physical access is impractical. Tenduit is the first company to develop a secure, software-only remote management solution that allows full console access and power control to servers anytime, from anywhere,” said Dave Perry, chief executive officer of Tenduit. “For the past 15 years the state-of-the art for server management has been either expensive hardware appliances or vendor-specific remote management cards. Tenduit is going to be a game-changer.”
